I have had good success germinating and growing corMus domestica (Sorbus domestica). These young trees are showing some excellent autumn colour.

There is some debate if they are native to the UK ?

There are some small pockets in the southwest where they have naturalised. Possibly introduced at least 1000 years ago. A long lived tree reaching a good size and having small edible fruit which is said to be best bletted.

The photo was taken in the autumn and leaves are showing autumn colour.
